Trip #66 (34): Grand Canyon, Cave Creek, Apache Junction

October 28 - Nov. 7, 2014

Beautiful almost 7 hour drive to the Grand Canyon, camping in full hookup Trailer Village in spot G41. Setup, drove to the Village to check out the lodges, caught the tail end of the sunset, saw a harem of elk near the mules where we parked, came back to make dinner and then worked! Getting all kinds of work this trip.
The elk harem hanging out near the mules.

Our second day we rode bikes the length of the each end of the road. The ride to Hermit's Rest was HARD!!! So for the way back we loaded them to the frot of the shuttle and rode back to the village in comfort.

The next day we went back for a hike into the canyon at the east end, Yaki Point, or South Kaibab Trail, down in a mile or so, beautiful views.

Dinner at the El Tovar, enjoyed the lobby and gift shop as always.
